How much water for the sugar water you created?

Hi – Thanks for your interest – hope you enjoy making some. It doesn’t
really matter how much water you use as after adding everything you top up
with water anyway (leaving a gap to allow for the initial froth up) I guess
I use about a pint and a half – just pour boiling water from the kettle so
the sugar is covered with enough to dissolve it.
thanks so much for this. I have read so much about this concoction. Seems
to give a nice medium dry Rose for little cost, hassle or time. Looking
forward to Part 2. BTW have you tried any variations such as sparkling or
subs Blood Orange Juice for standard orange juice. Cheers agan
Hi, The tea acts as a tannin. (you can buy it from home brew shops) but a
cup of strong tea does the trick. “Tannins give wine extra character that
it may otherwise be lacking. It causes the “dryness” in the mouth
phenomenon, as it actually modifies the saliva in the mouth by removing the
lubrication in the saliva.”

The wurzel’s orange wine is doing fine. I’m keeping a video diary of sorts
of it and will upload that as part 2.
