WOW your worms were a lot bigger than the ones I ordered. Post the link where you got yours please. Of course they have grown and are doing well. I try not to mess with them too much, just putting food in about once a week or so. Happy worm growing!~Ann
No need to worry indoors unless the bin was totally clear.Outside the UV rays penetrate so well.Indoors unless you are really lighting an area, the blue should filter the light.Of course a red bin would be ugly as heck, but it also works. That is why when someone uses red Christmas lights to keep worms in,they are defeating the purpose. You ever want to watch worms at night use a red flashlight.
Is that about 2 pounds of RedWigglers? They did a great job on packing them. Good job on having the bin ready for them. Look forward to updates….Paula
Ronnie, do you know how many you received? I like the look of those worms and would be interested in buying some. Thanks for the info about the “other guy”. ha
Don’t buy worms if they are by the count. That is usually Uncle Jims, and he’ll ship you a bunch of Perionyx excavatus instead of Eisenia fetida.Buy by weight.Lots of people get shafted by him.I know because he shafted me when i was starting out.Google complaints about U. Jims Worm farm and you’ll see what i mean.He has more than one website. If it says Jim Shaw, steer clear of that guy!
Awesome! You’ve got a bunch of worms there. You will have castings in no time. We are on the same wave link, I just made a video on my worms too. Take care, I look forward to your updates.

A couple tips! Put some cardboard on the outside of the tub walls to block out light.During daylight it makes them congregate in the middle only instead of the whole bin if you don’t.Also don’t let any sunlight hit the bin or it will cook all your worms.Let me know if you need any advice.
when you set it up before hand like you have youre more then a month ahead of anyone that sets up a bin the day or a few days before they get their worms just be careful not to over feed them or use too much water

Larry you are the one to ask about worms. Great advice. I think I sent you a PM every day just about when I first got my worms.

Nice stuff. I love my worm farm. I get the worm wee to use each week and every now and then a load of worm castings to spread around the garden.
