Question by Prem Singh Negi: Why all farmers do not show interest?
If broiler farming is productive and gaining benefits, then why do all farmers are not involved in this field. Though I am too planning to enter in this business on contract basis, but this above question often disturb me now-a-days. Anyone kindly throw some light on this subject.

One Response to Why all farmers do not show interest?

  1. High capital cost of specialist buildings & equipment which aren’t much use for anything else (except rearing layer pullets, turkeys, guinea fowl & ducklings) and low profit margins.

You’d be better off contract rearing for a small company doing one of these speciality types of poultry, such as guinea fowl, ducklings, or organic/free range table chickens.
