Question by Mike O: whats the best way to keep a dairy Goat warm in the winter?
a few days ago were i live it was -20 degrees and im worried that my goats will die how do i keep them warm?
we dont have a barn its a small calf house/dog house we dont have the time or Money to build a barn yet

  1. keep them in the barn – goats dont like cold at all… and really dont like cold winds so a barn will help a lot. LOTS of straw bedding and extra oats too!

  2. Hay and more good hay, dry bedding, no drafts and warm water (some molasses or Gatorade will make your goats drink a bit more.)
