Question by iForeverSing: What supplies do I need in order to show a “Pack-Goat” in 4h?
I’m going into my first year of showing goats in 4h, and I would really like to show a pack goat. The whether I want to use for it was just born this winter, and I would like to show him this summer in the fair. Could someone please tell me what supplies I should need? I’ve been looking, but there’s different types of saddles and I don’t know what kind I would need! Please help! Thanks!

  1. I’m pretty sure you can’t show pack goats, unless you enter them in a dairy or meat class. As for information, there’s a Pack Goat Forum, http://www.packgoatforum.com/ , which is really good. If you join (it’s free) you can ask questions and you can get a lot of information from people who really know their stuff.
