crop rotation — changing the crop grown in the fields over different years, Some pests are specific to one or two types of crop, and will no longer feed. crop rotation involving legumes (things like peas and something else that i cant remember that put nitrogen back into the soil) can also help the nitrogen cycle, but im not sure if you’ve learnt about that yet.
introduction of a species;
intro. of a predator — ladybirds to control the population of greenflies
intro. of a herbivore — moths to control population of weeds(eg cacti)
intro. of a parasite — Encarsia to control the population of white-flies
intro. of a pathogen (harmful microbe) — myxomatosis to control population of rabbits
that’s just about all i can remember.
i wish i had my text book on me i could probably write more.
hope it helps.
good luck with your c/w

there are also products called eco smart. they are made of mint oil and other essential oils that smell good to us but overwhelming to the bugs. i use them all the time for my pestcontrol route.
