Question by k_erdahl: what makes a broiler chicken gain and yield well. high protein, high energy or both in their diet?
i always thought it was protein because with cattle its kind of both. does anybody know for sure?

  2. Its the combination of high protein and lack of exercise. We lock up our chickens in the coop and feed them all they can eat 1 week before we butcher them and the meat is plentiful and very tender.
