agriculture, horticulture… I suggest going to Michigan State Universitys website and looking at their science degrees. There is a building on campus called “plant and soil sciences” and there are tons of major that deal with it at MSU, as they are famous for being an Ag school. I had a professor that studied sand dunes and soil types, and he got so excited talking about it. If you’re interested in it, its a great place to start looking and to get an idea of what to go into, even if you dont want to go there.

Horticulture – specialization within an Agriculture program
Landscape Architecture
Botany – specialization within a Biology/Biological Science program
These are the only majors that come to mind.
