  1. The average number of kids in a litter is two, but they have been known to have up to 5 at once.

  2. my pygmeys just had 4 each. But 2 of the first litter died and 1 of the other litter died. Needless to say 2 is safe, 3 is stretching, 4 is too much and 5 is completely insane

  3. LMOA- Elle- got a kick out of you referring to “litters” of goat kids! My Saanens have never had more than twins.

All 4 alive & healthy, I hope. Are they identicals?

  4. Twins are most common in pygmies. We raised boer goats for ten years and a few dairy goats. The most our boers had was four and our dairy goats had twins and triplets. It also depends if you creep feed them before breeding. I have heard boers having up to six. But pygmies are known for singles and twins.

And goats do not have LITTERS. Litters is more for cats and dogs. Goats have kids not kittens or puppies.
