What is the future of agriculture: organic food, or genetically engineered food?

We decided to try community supported agriculture. So far we’ve used up most of the box, and it’s been quite good. Luckily they give you recipes to help figure out what to do with veggies like dandelion greens.

  1. There will likely always be demand for organic food. As far as GMOs, today many of the greenhouse tomatoes you buy at the store are a GMO variety that was released probably 5 years or so ago. I see more GMOs and ones that will grow in climates that today are too harsh, allowing people in cold, arid or insect ridden regions to feed themselves.

  2. I’m guessing Genetically engineered although there is a huge demand right know for organic food, the farming industry is dying down. The pay is hardy for the work and people often critize about killing this and doing that it is becomming very diffacult to grow organic food to peoples specificaltions, so all that is left sadly is GE food

  3. In short, I think there might be a bit of both, just like there is a wide gap between socioeconomic folks today.
