Question by : What is a good substitute for yogurt in recipes that isn’t dairy or soy?
My daughter has 8 allergies: beef, cow dairy (of any kind), goat dairy, soy, lemon, coconut, wheat, and brewer’s yeast. Almond yogurt is hard to come by where we live, and my attempts at cashew yogurts, cheeses, and sour creams have yet to be successful.

  1. There are yoghurts made of rice milk.

You can also make your own- you need:
    cashews (1/2 cup)
    dates (1/4 cup)
    vanilla (1 tbsp)
    lime juice (1)
    water (4 cups)

Put all the ingredients in a blender, but at the water about 1/2 cup at a time, and stop when it reaches a consistency that you like. It will continue to taste more like typical yoghurt the more it sits due to the lime. I’ve made this and it’s absolutely delicious! If you use raw cashews, which I recommend, it’s 100% and sooo perfect. : )

    Clones are people two.
