The BT Artbox Story
The good old British phone box was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott to commemorate King
George V’s Silver Jubilee.
This year we’ve got a Diamond Jubilee and London 2012 to look forward to, so we decided we needed to do something to celebrate.
That something turned into BT ArtBox. It’s a campaign that thrives on the nation’s artistic talent.
Across London’s streets you’ll find replicas of the Gilbert Scott phone box, transformed by the
imaginations of some of our very best creative minds.
Then later on we’ll be auctioning all the boxes off to raise money for ChildLine’s 25th anniversary.
“The Poetry of Life”
Artist: The DnA Factory
Location: Old Spitalfield’s Market
This sweet scent of memory,
green hills and pleasant seems
the cool dew in distant dreams of birdsong,
nostalgia bathes the scene,
And my heart belongs to thee.
Within this soft and satin world
these tears will dry and leave no stain,
as rain implores the sun
to kiss your hair, your face and hands
a feather’s touch upon the skin.
Of diamond edge and gilt refrain
a pledge of life and love,
to the follower of dusty trails
across the sea, the land, the sky
the Seeker seeks and so will Find.
Mighty as the Queen of Bees
gold dust heavy on silver wings
a diamond hard, will cut it seems
fair and foul and fair again
uphold the laws of majesty.
We journey long, as far as eyes can see
beyond which, time is light and air
all full to brimming through Englands green,
rose tint in the mirror sheen
romance the fire and melody.
Of suns rise and sets full
moons and stars all things forgot
just look beyond the here and now
the dream is all, safe and warm
in hope, for peace and charity of soul.
For here is Life and Love and All You Ever Dreamed Of.
Question by Faye H: What Harvest Moon game for current Gen should I get?
I’m a harvest moon fan, I haven’t played any in a few years though. I’d like to pick up one of the new ones but there are so many new ones!
I have of the current gen:
Island of Happiness (Although my friend lost it…)
Rune Factory (I really enjoyed this)
Tree of Life (Wii)
Playing as a girl is always a bonus, but I can put that aside if need be.
Can you help? Leave your own answer in the comments!
Yes, there a many new choices now. And what matters is what you like, not what others think is best. So I’ll list more then just what I think is good. Everyone has different opinions.
If you really liked Rune Factory there are four others available. Rune Factory 2 and 3 for the DS. Then d Rune Factory: Frontier for the Wii and then the newest Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny.
In RF2 you start as a male but later on got to play as a female character. You can only have a fake wedding though. You can not get married for real when you play as the female because she is too young.
RF:Frontier and RF3 do not have the option to play as a female at any point in the game. But all the Rune Factories are wonderful games. They are not Harvest Moon anymore but a series of their own. You still might want to play it even though they’re not Harvest Moon games.
In Tides of Destiny you do get to play as a girl and get married, but just like with RF2 you start the game as a male and it is only later that you get to choose your gender.
You can play as a girl in all the Harvest Moon games I’m about to list.
There is a game that uses the same characters and style of Island of Happiness. It’s called Sunshine Island. There is a new plot and a new marriage candidate for both genders as well. They fixed the control problem so you do not have to use the stylist if you don’t want. Also people no longer move out. In this game you collect Sun Stones by doing certain tasks and use the Sun Stones to raise sunken islands
Tree of Tranquility also got a remake of sorts as well. It is called Animal Parade (Wii). They added some new features like having two children, the kids have the same hair and eye color as the person you marry, more mines, you can ride animals like cows and goats, and there is a little circus that comes to town once a month. There are also two new bachelors and two new bachelorettes.
So if you really loved Island of Happiness or Tree of Tranquility you can get one of the newer games that uses the same style/characters.
But if you want something new you could try:
Grand Bazaar for the DS. This game has new features like double jumping, running a stand at a weekly Bazaar, using Windmills to make items, and skateboarding/snowboarding. But is also has a very small town, the plot is extremely simple and only takes a year or two to fully beat (you just have to make a lot of money and that’s it). The game is a relaxing and but quite short to finish. A good game for people who don’t want to have to spend ages trying to beat the game.
Then there is Tale of Two Towns, which came out last month. It has new features like fishing with your hands, horse carts, alpacas and bees. a request board, and the option to choose between two towns. In this game there are four Cooking Festival per month. You win those to help the plot along. I have not played this game myself yet but I have heard from many people who have it is a well liked game.
