Question by Sir Hoochalot: What foods with high levels of calcium do you give your dogs and how much?
Goat’s milk? Cheese? Yoghurt? Ice cream?
Any non-dairy foods?
How often? Daily? Weekly? As a very special treat?
My dog gets a spoonful of yoghurt when he’s gassy, 200mls of goat’s milk a couple of times a week and ice cream as a very special treat.
I know not to go overboard.
Feel free to answer in the comment section below
don.t go overboard w/the calcium…..it can lead to kidney stones………….yogurt is good for dogs…..plain is best………they love cheese as well, just remember its high in fat…..

My dog gets enough calcium from his food.
I rotate between a high quality kibble, and raw.
He is lactose intolerant and cannot have dairy.. not unless I want a mess all over my floor.

I feed my dogs raw chicken such as chicken necks / wings / and carcasses, they raw bones are full of all types of great vitamins, minerals and especially calcium.
Check out the book

My dogs (and cats) get a bony meal every second or third night. This may be a chicken quarter, turkey drumstick, pork hock, chicken frame stuffed with heart or roo mince ……
To me a meaty bone is a better and more utilised source of calcium than dairy for my animals.
