Question by Bayern über alles: What do you think the possibility of Spain repeating as champs for Euro 2012?
I say less than a 2% chance. The team is so divided that I expect to see arguments between team Spain on the pitch.
I say Germany is the favorite with about a 20% chance, I rank France, England, Italy, Portugal, Holland, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Turkey and Croatia and more likely to win.
What do you think? As you can see, I think the damage is beyond repair.

Well according to Iniesta the Spain Squad is united again, but we’ll find out for sure when the competition starts.

it would be one of xavi’s last international games and he wil look to impress. fabregas is getting better and better. iniesta is in his prime. hopefully torrs improves. in defence the problem is left back, but jose enrique and monreal are coming up. there’s no problem

I don’t see them winning the tournament. Germany has great players that are still young, and Netherlands will have players that will be in their prime in 2012. I say Spain is the 3rd favorite to win it all.

It’s really open. Everyone says Spain or Germany, rightly so, but I wouldn’t count out Portugal (if they qualify), Netherlands, or Italy, all have been impressive. France & England have slim chances to win but good chances to be semi-finalists. Right now I really want Armenia to qualify 🙂

2%,spain havent beaten any big teams since the world cup, they lost 4 to both argentina and portugal and recently lost to italy. i go with germany winning this,i like brazil but for now they are not at their best, and with barca and real always fighting its actually going to start affecting them

History taught us that no country has ever repeated as European Champions and sometimes unlikely teams can become champions like Czechoslovakia, Denmark and Greece.
Spain’s chances to repeat as champs is slim not only of the history but also to the fact that countries like Germany and the Netherlands are getting stronger. I see Spain finish at the top 4 of the tournament.

yes but just because Albania didn’t qualify , if we would have qualified we could have won .. 😛 jk
i’d like Ukraine to win because i miss seeing Schevchenko raising a cup 🙂
from your predictions :
France 19%
England 13%
Italy 8%
Portugal 17%
Holland 10%
Russia 3%
Poland 3%
Turkey 1%
Croatia 0.5%
I’d say Germany about 21% just that they may be surprised and lose against a weak team ..
Spain well 19 %

They should win it, they are far better than any team in the entire world, anything less than winning the whole thing would be an utter failure.
