What are tiny green pebbles in my garden soil?

Night shots of the flower beds finally filled with soil. I couldn’t wait till the morning to take photos of them.

Question by MMorris: What are tiny green pebbles in my garden soil?
What are those tiny green pebbles that appear in the garden soil of my container plants. Should I remove them? I didn’t see them in the potting soil when I purchased it. They are so intensely green that they appear to be man made but so small that it contradicts that theory.
