Question by Caprice: What are good sources of protein for vegetarian?
I won’t to know what foods are a good source of protein. But the big thing is that I am a vegetarian and as well I am not able to eat any dairy products. As well I am allergic to all kinds of nuts and seeds. But one last thing I don’t wont to eat a lot of carbs. Thanks

Nuts. Lots and lots of nuts And seeds. Also Quinoa. Quinoa is an AMAZING vegan food. It is LOADED with protein. Just be aware that it is a little expensive.

Really green Veggies actually have more protein than alot of other things.
Beans, hummus with rice crackers.
Brown rice is okay it is a simple carb on a complex carb so it’s not like white bread.

If you’re going to choose the vegetarian lifestyle you need to educate yourself about vegetable protein. Vegetable protein is better in a lot of ways from animal protein but you have to eat two foods to get a complete protein when eating vegetable protein.
For example a bean burrito with a whole grain tortilla or some peanut butter on a slice of whole grain bread. Things like that.

Eggs, cheese, beans are all quality vegetarian proteins. If you go vegan then you’ll have to eliminate the first two.

I have lost 40 lbs in two months lifting weights and eating more greens and QUINOA is a seed, but its full of protein, which is both strange and wonderful.
Eat nuts sparingly, as they contain a good source of healthy fats, which isn’t bad, but you wanna eat egg whites and quinoa tuna/salmon – not beef, not pork – chicken, no skin and fish are best

Without nuts & dairy your choices become more limited.
Eggs, tofu & beans/lentils would be your main sources, if you can manage other forms of dairy such as goats product or ones that have lactose removed (presuming is the problem) then you’re in a good position. That being said a woman who does not work out regularly with weights only needs like 40g of protein, which is more than achieved easily. Protein should be bottom of your worries in regards to nutrients on a vegetarian diet.
As for carbs, deal with it. Get over the idea that carbs make you fat especially as a vegetarian because plants are composed of carbohydrates largely, no individual macronutrient makes you overweight. It is over consumption of food ie calories that will cause you to gain weight. Carbs fats & protein are all necessary for a healthy body.
