What animals are best raised in Kansas- leading to their by-product/and /or their flesh for human upkeep? Keeping in mind-“personal farming”-that to which would be only used for a “personal family –and THEIR SURVIVAL” Thank you.

A family needs some steers, cattle, for their beef. Ficus, cow piles, makes fertilizer.
Milk cow for the milk, cream, butter and buttermilk.
Chickens for eggs and meat.
Hogs for pork and their bacon.
Turkeys for meat.
