Want to work in agriculture?

Question by Reject Dogma: Want to work in agriculture?
I want to work in agriculture. I want to find more effective way of growing crops and food. Which major/minor combination would be best for me?

Should I major in biology or chemistry?

I can have two minors; what should they be? Food Sciences, Plant and Soil Science, Pest Management, Sustainable Agriculture, or another one?

What should my major/minors be?

  2. For learning about growing crops, you should major in biology and minor in Plant and Soil Science.

You could also minor in Sustainable Agriculture which would focus a lot of agriculture-environment-human relationship.
