  1. I live in zone 5 and we are having yet another frost warning tonight. None of my neighbors or myself have started our gardens yet. You are not too late. Corn takes up a lot of room so hopefully you have a large garden. We are planting cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, pumpkins and strawberries this year. Don’t worry, your not too late.

  4. Check to see what planting zone you live in. Even if it is too late for some crops, there should be something you can plant especially if you use plants already started that you can get from a plant nursery.

A good source of information about gardening is the County Agricultural Extension agent. You can usually find them listed under “Government” in the Yellow Pages. They’ll have publications and may even provide sample bags to take samples that can be tested. The tests will tell you what nutrients you might need to add to the soil for good plant growth.

Staff at a plant nursery can also offer advice but they may be more interested in selling you products than giving you information.

Gardening societies or clubs also are a good source of information and help with problems.

    Good gardening!

  5. Don’t start your plants from seed if you’re concerned about
harvesting them before frost comes, buy seedling instead.
3 months of growing time will be long enough to grow many
vegetables. Give them plenty of water. Good luck.

  6. Tomatoes easy, Peppers easy, many kinds, beans? corn is hard, squash is eash, zukine is easy, okra,is easy, chives.
All of this is ok now plant what you like to eat. Be sure to space as directed.
Tomatoes, when you plant them, plant up to the bottom of the lower leaves this is good for the root system. There are many kinds to choose from so read about them.
Water, Weed often. buy some lady bugs on the net and turn them lose. You can you a little soap with water to spray for bugs or just use what they have at your gardening center.
You can plant tomatoes twice there called fall tomatoes. Here in Texas I have got some as late as December
