They’re fine all day, and then it’s pure drama when they go to bed at night. We covered her bald (and a little bloody) spot with Blue Kote and covered the area with duct tape. We made a duct tape pad to cover the wound so it wouldn’t stick, and then attached the whole thing with more tape. This is Georgia hanging out in the kitchen until the other girls go to sleep and calm down.

  6. @reedbabes Unfortunately, the duct tape didn’t stay on. I eventually bought chicken aprons from mbldesigns [dot] com/chicken_aprons.html, and they worked beautifully… all the plucked chickens have grown or are growing their feathers back. We also had to re-home the plucking chicken because once they start, they rarely stop.

  7. You put duct tape on her? Please explain how this works and where you’re placing it. I have a hen that pulls the feathers out of my other hens, one in particular. (She is very pretty by the way.)
