Question by Lili: Until when is my puppy supposed to drink milk?
Due to circumstances of life I ended up with a 4 week old puppy. I have been feeding him goats milk mixed with puppy soft food. When should I start giving him soft food only?

  2. You can start now to mix dry puppy food with warm water and by the time he is about 6 or 7 weeks of age he should be able to eat just the dry food. Good luck!

  4. He really should be on a Canine Mother’s Milk Supplement. You can start adding a little supplemental milk to his food now to make a gruel and gradually decrease the milk. He should be eating dry kibble at 8 to 9 weeks.

  6. Now. Just soak the kibble in warm water until soft and mush it up. Add less water as the pup grows, so that it is eating completely dry puppy kibble when it is 6 weeks old.
