  4. Was the pig ever very nice to another man? It seems like it may have been a very nice pig, swine, as maybe it would occasionally give gifts to nurses or make appropriate phone calls on his best friend’s birthday, or maybe the pig let an old woman have his seat on the bus one day, or maybe been very nice to others? If so, the pig was some sort of local hero who gave clothes to local starving children? The pig may have been nice even to one man, or woman, maybe by lighting a candle?

  5. @RobbytheLion do your research then. Hogs are real cute when they’re young but once they start maturing and getting smart it’s a world of difference. they get very tempermental, and if they realize how to break down their pen walls (which they will) they will continue to do so. I had one sow that was about 450lbs~ and she learned she could knock down walls by leaning on them. I’m not saying don’t, but just know that they can develop into more work than you might want to deal with.

  6. Red hogs are my favorite. My family had a pot belly pig when I was a kid, he died a couple years ago at a ripe old age. Pot belly pigs are neve red though, he was black. Some day when I can settle down and own my own property I’d love to raise some pigs.

  9. about 10 wks for castrating. get your mate to hold him upside down securing his body between his thighs. pigs belly should be facing you. encircle the scrotum with the forefinger and thumb of your left hand. use a box cutter to make a 1″ cut in the scrot over each ball. The balls will pop out then snare the scrot back and cut thru the sinewy bit. paint a bit of iodene over the wound and release the pig. no need for further meds or kind words, the damage is already done, he wont appreciate it.
