Hey Dan, I would love for you to see what you can find out about Lonnie
Johnson’s JTEC system. He won a top ten award in 2008 from Popular
Mechanics. JTEC has the potential to make solar energy 60% more efficient.
Awesome vid Dan, And I love the paintings on the wall of the other vid.
This looks real pretty. Did you mirror this Plexiglas or lexan or can you
buy it like that? The music has a feeling of a mellow bonanza theme. When
the sun finally comes out here I will resume with the new video series.

Nice video as allways, but please tell me what’s the name of the song.
Dan I really think you like that song =)… Hey, where’s the water heating
device! ? Nice mirror… I am still waiting for a cold sunny day to put
mine to the test again.. I have a friend down the road, he wants to make
one double the size.. I’m not done with these tests, just taking a break..
I hope you are going to show future videos heating some water with smaller
devices, that would be awesome to see.

Hi Dan, can you, or anyone, tell what is a cheap yet good black coating on
sufaces to collect sunlight with that is also reasonably durable?
I will be changing the angle only. A rotating platform can be used but is
really not needed as the continuous Linear beam is 60% sunrise 60% on
target sunset and 100% 12pm. So if you are pointing right at the sun, it
sort of tracks it in a straight line. You only need to adjust for seasonal
sun changes.

This is regular mirrored acrylic. Any plexiglass supplier sells it for
about $200+ a sheet. What size tubes are you looking to get.

What is the power of this mirror (in watts). From the info you gave in
other videos I made some calculations but they don’t seem realistic (
11kW…).

Yes, you run a black pipe down the center at the focal point. Actually just
short or long of it depending.
