Question by skkitlx: Tiny white/black worms in bed ?
Ok, This is the second time I have seen these things in my daughter’s bed. One time before a few years ago when she was still in grade school and again today. They range from about an inch and shorter and are white with black inside. sort of how a shrimp looks with junk still inside but white and a worm. I spray the bed down with lysol and they die. I’ve done my research (as I do not mix well with any sort of bugs) and they’re not bedbugs or fleas and I can’t find any pics on the internet of what they look like. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  3. WTF, seriously? I would scoop some up in a plastic bag and take them to a pediatrician or MD just to make sure they aren’t some weird parasite or something.

Does your daughter eat in bed? If so, she needs to break that habit unless she likes sleeping with bugs.

EDIT: Um… Your daughter is ALIVE, right?

  4. you might want to cheek her for parasites. Because they very well be coming out of her, and you find them on her bed.

  5. Look up “pin worm” on the internet. There are many pictures that look something like what you are describing. They are very common in school age children and easily treated. I like a previous poster’s suggestion to take a sample to a doctor.

Basically eggs are ingested and the parasitic worms live in the intestines and reproduce. Some make their way out and you find them in the bed. Its kind of creepy and a little more technical than I’m describing.

The thing to remember is if they are what you are dealing with, they are easily cured, and your doctor will fix your daughter right up. Good luck.
