  2. Yes it spilled out. I had very little success with this. The plants were very small and so were the tomatoes. I recommend the Mittleider gardening method. Please see my playlist on that for more info. Crazy success with it.

  7. If you have the tools such as the hole cutter, the wise grip, to hole it down, the the saw to cut the pipe, the time. $100 is expensive. I won’t buy it because I have all the tools but for most people who just wanting to do gardening AND if it work, it might be worth it.

  12. the only problem is the holes that go from one side to the other, thats why there is no root space and the plants compete against eachother. Great idea though, i plan on building a few of these myself.

  13. Not on the garden stick. Gravity pulls them down but they either curl back up or the leaves turn upwards.

  15. Yes, I do. But it can become very expensive. For a short season, small plant, like herbs this probably works great.

  16. Do you feel you need a larger diameter pipe to get proper yield?

  18. When the plants are full of vegetables how do they hold up? did you have to trellis the plants?

  19. Actually because of gravity all the plants get watered. The biggest drawback is I don’t feel there is enough room for the plant roots. The production and size of the plants was quite small compared to my container garden or “normal” gardening.

  20. So how is it doing after all of the heat? My biggest doubt with this system is that the bottom plants don’t get watered enoughed. With that in mind, the heat we’ve had plus lack of water would probably kill the lower plants. Did that happen to your plants?

  21. Thank you for commenting. You are correct. People are trying to make money. Just like the people at McDonalds where you buy your food. You can make your own hamburger too. Some people want to buy a pre-made vertical garden or a hamburger others want to make one. Both are fine.

  22. I never post comments on a video but this makes me so mad I have to say something. All this is, is a PVC pipe with 2″ holes drilled into it at specific heights. I can pick up a 10′ piece of the same pipe for $25, cut it and drill the holes and make 2 of these things and the website is charging $100 each. What a scam. Also I can make the “watering” addition for about $5 more, really just people trying to make money.
