That bee killing shit that Bayer is making is the cause. When they banned
it in the EU the bees started coming back. We MUST ban that chemical
immediately!
This is a problem not only in US anymore but equally evident in other parts
of the world. Honey bees are crucial for agriculture an play a much bigger
role rather than the perceived honey advantage.
60 minutes did a report on this in 2006 or 2007. They reported that Europe
had a similar problem but that banning one specific chemical coincided with
a massive decrease of colony collapse disorder.
Colony Collapse Disorder is being caused by systemic pesticides. There is
no mystery here. The French figures this out over a decade ago, 60 Minutes
broadcast this information in the USA over seven years ago, and independent
scientists (read: not industrial stooges) have verified that this type of
insecticide is, to the surprise of absolutely no one, dangerous to insects
(bees).
So the bigger question is “why is TED pushing this kind of phony
controversy?” Are you planning on denying global warming next, or is Exxon
not willing to match the price Bayer paid for this video?
You wanna save bees? Stop using pesticides, grow everything organically and
naturally, slit the throats of everyone at Monsanto, any ag-chem company,
and GMO seed companies.

Whoever narrated this sounds like he could narrate something like the end

I suspect that GMO crops might have something to do with the disappearance
of the bees.

Where have all the honeybees gone?
Sometimes they sting, but honeybees really are very useful little
creatures. And they are disappearing… But where are they?
This TED video is a great educational video on the importance of honeybees
(not just for creating honey), for kids and adults alike.
