Rooy Media LLC has created over fifty programs that educate people about important social issues. This video clip is a sample from Strategies for Sustainable Agriculture: Vegetables, one program in a six-part series that profiles the impressive strides many farmers have made in lowering the use of chemicals and creating healthier food, a safer environment, and greater profits. Breaking up the soil with a heavy plow is very poor soil management and releases stored carbon.

I have five different vegetable gardens and I farm this way.
I constantly ammend my soil with manure compost leaves and grass clippings.
Chemical fertilizers are a no no.
My soil is rich and full of earthworms

Travelling in Maine on an exchange visit. Wonder if there are CSAs in the Southern Maine and New Hampshire areas. Would love to know CSA first hand.

A great (but short and sweet) advertisement for organic living – teaching at ‘grassroots’ is what we need to educate the leaders of the future – our kids. Nice vid.
