  9. Hi Im about to start my veggie patch that I’m going to water with water
from the borehole. Now the borehole water is quite brakish. So if I water
the soil with it will it make the soil more acidic or more alkaline or will
it have no affect? I read that brakish water is alkaline so i added a pinch
of lime. Was this a good idea? Thanks for all the informative and
    interesting videos ๐Ÿ˜‰

  14. just place them on the ground worms will incorporate them over time. If you
do it you risk to make their decomposition anaerobic and surely they are
going to steal all the nitrogen from your soil.

  16. Nice point that, Maybe our little plants might grow once we plant them, but
the weeds on top might be discouraged. I have no experiences using those
    leafs Though. Cheers David.

  17. Hey sorry to hear that, about the loss. Will take a look at your video. You
can still add it here as a response or on one of my beekeeping videos. It
could be related to pesticide spraying. In that case you should complain to
the local Co council, or your equivalent. I will have a think on making a
video. Just got to think of the structure of it. David.

  19. I live in Holland. I have a little back yard, but people can not see into
it, because there is a high fence. Every winter we put all the kitchen
fresh material waste on the little back yard. It looks terrible, but by
springtime most everything is eaten by the worms. And than I have sooooo
much worms and healthy soil to give me a whole summer long a good crop. I
hope that a lot more Dutch people are going to use their kitchen waste for
    good gardening.

  20. I would check the PH of the compost too. But stick in some ground limestone
or wood ash should do the trick nicely. Will take a few years to get it
    back up though. David.

  24. We have loads of horsechestnut leaves that fall from a neighbors tree. If
the majority of a compost pile is made up of these will it cause problems
for some crops? (nothing grows where walnut leaves/trees are I’ve noticed)

  25. my soil is very acidic we are at a 4 ph .I plan to place some of our own
compost “barn shavings and leaves mix” that is almost 2yrs old we turn it
monthly with a tractor. I plan to York rake out my stones first then layer
down the compost and then drag the cultivator back and forth to drive in
the compost into the soil. is there anything you would add to my soil to
    make it less acidic?
