i raise over 150 chickens and if i had to do this everyday i would never finish! if we see a sick one we take care of it …this shit is just nuts but i understand if u wanna keep ur expensive breed alive but shit ..lol
is he talking abt backyard chickens or industrial farm? this is too much..if a chicken is sick, you can treat her or him..taking them to vet is costly..
wonder what would have happened if anyone had been smart enough to keep, study, and reproduce the healthy/resistant birds instead of killing them off out of fear. Maybe then we would have chickens naturally more resistant to the new bird flu (which I’m sure exists because of deplorable factory farming practices)
this is so stupid! i have over 50 birds to feed and water along with hound dogs a goat pot bellied pigs and cows. doing all this would just be a pain in the ass!
If these were the last birds yes , but in riality let the birds die, the bird that dont die will breed then you will have stronger birds then you dont have to do all this
This is completely retarded. What farmer lives like that? Yeah, soak everything with disinfectant so you can breed resistant bacteria and kill the good ones. Reduce natural disease resistance, immunity and robustness. We are the government and we are here to help you…to ruin.
this is a little obsessive….they are animals, that have lived in the wild for thousands of years, sure they need to be cleaned and taken care of but not obsessed over to this degree.

Just in my up-scale neighborhood, 5 houses out of fifteen raise chickens. Nothing tastier then fresh, organic eggs every morning!

This is the way it is done when you do industrial type farming for 25000 chicken coups. (HACCP)

yes, but if you keep people from getting infected, it starves off the bacteria, killing THEM off.
