  1. There are farmers markets almost every day in vegas. That being said, based on my experience, the best one is thursdays at the springs preserve.

  9. hi i’ve got a method that might help you. put seeds to the side, perforated container may be preferred or keep shaking them w/ a dried herb leaf like oregeno or chamomile once in while thruout maybe a week. they will turn into a cracker consistency inviting snack vs hard bite feel. & i would add this way is not just easier in my mouth but stomach also. works for all squash family seeds like pumpkin or my fav butternut once done like that after just stuffing later stage fruit. carolyn

  15. I always recommend chewing each moutful of food 200 times before swallowing (well at least 50 times) to get all the food broken up into microscopic pieces before swallowing. Things that are chewed up are better digested. That being said, often times, I blend the watermelon seeds in the vitamix with the melon and drink it all.

  16. Watermelon can be grown in many places. In general, they like heat and full sun, so you may have to get a special (smaller) variety that does not require as much heat and/or place black fabric on the ground to absorb more heat below the melons. Trying is the best way to find out, or ask local farmers in your area what varieties grow well.

  17. Wow,…learnin’ ’bout something new, Red-Seeded Navajo Watermelon,…thumbs up John!! = ) On the seed being edible, yep, only this year i saw a packaged brand of watermelon seeds, straight from El Cairo, Egypt, salted and roasted, crack ’em like sunflower or pumpkin seed and eat the middle,….not much middle, usually watermelon seeds are thin, but they should be tasty! = )

  19. Nativeseeds, has a lot of great traditional varieties, corn, amaranth etc., commercial hybrids are ok, but for those that want to save seeds every year, getting heirloom varieties that are adapted to your local climate is the way to go. Just today I planted a watermelon variety called “Ali baba” an Iraqi heirloom that has a really good rep. thanks for the video 🙂

  20. Well, um, if they came out whole then you clearly didn’t chew them. Some foods are not going to be broken down if you don’t actually chew them first.
