Seems like such an enormous waste.I know human families that don’t keep their homes at 75 degrees for the cost and fuel consumption issues.Poor pigs with no straw.Nothing to play with!I can’t imagine cutting off their tails without pain relief! Is that really the best that can be done for these intelligent, sensitive beings that are being bred just to be killed?
Perhaps a fruit/vegetable greenhouse where every pig “barn” is might be the solution? After all-Those foods are also better for health.
What do the pigs do all day? Surely they must get really bored, is that why they bite each others tails (which is why you said you dock them)? Whilst it all looks clean, naturally pigs like to root about, wouldn’t it be better if they had some straw? I’ve seen in other places that balls can be put in the pens for them to play with.
