Haiti is a third world country. Due to poor nutrition, the death rate is increasing. Through out the years there have many attempts in trying to remove malnutrition but due to the unsuccessful rate of the attempts many just gave up on Haiti. The rural areas of Haiti are majorly impacted. Rural areas are overlooked and neglected. Since the January of 2010 earthquake the conditions in Haiti have worsen. Also, the numbers of foundations that work in Haiti have increased. iF-Foundation is one of the many and has many projects in Haiti. Few of the foundations are focused on removing nutrition as well as creating a small income for the villagers. One of the projects is the pig farm. The pig farm is in a village in northern Haiti called Thibeau. In the pig farm, the pigs are raised to weigh up to 200 pounds. The pigs are raised by the families that live in Thibeau and are used a source of nutrition as well as a monetary.
