    planting directly into the ground?

  2. I don’t think you have to worry about plastic, it’s treated lumber or
    railroad ties that can leach toxins into the neighboring soil over time.

  3. Hey DanO this is a great video thanks for posting. i just have a question
    my dad picked up a bunch of used and weathered Plastic Composite Decking
    material from work for free i am planning on making raised beds this summer
    but i am worried about using this material. what do you think? Would i have
    to worry about toxins leaching into the soil?

  8. Good question. For me the best reason is that elevating the soil in this
    fashion allows for better drainage and warms the soil a bit earlier in the
    spring. Hope that helped!
