Question by Aj The Hammer B: Puppy with raised bumps on lips. What is it?
My 5 month old pit mix has bumps a little smaller in diameter than a pencil eraser on her chin right below her mouth and a couple on her lips most of the bumps are located in a space about the size of a quarter to half dollar. they do not seem to bug her but they may be spreading because i have never seen them before last week. They were closed but are now raw and bleeding either from play or scratching (but i have not seen her itching it). I have read around and heard they may be an allergic reaction which is quite possible because she keeps getting fleas and chases bug (bees) at every opportunity. I have benidril but it is capsules and its diphen…-Hydrocloride which (i don’t know if this makes a difference). I was wondering what these might be and the treatments i should use. thanks AJ
What do you think? Answer below!
Had something similar. Vet used an anti-bacterial cream.

Hi
Firstly get her checked at the vet to confirm they are allergic reactions or some sort of wart. They could also be ingrowing whiskers…strange but true…I wouldnt give her the benadryl as they are made for humans and are at a dosage which is proportional to weight. It could be very dangerous to do so. So please have her checked by a professional
Good luck
