Re geotextile/landscape fabric. Every time I see it used, it always allows
the surface material to runoff with heavy rains after a few years. Whether
it’s mulch or rock, I’ve never really seen a case where the surface media
actually stays in place. What I’ve learned, is laying down base rock,
tamping, and then placing your media and tamping. Supposed to work better
because that top surface media is forming a matrix/physical interlocking
with the base rock that has formed a matrix/physical interlocking with the
earth/soil.
Have you guys determined that landscape fabric does work over the long term
with the heavy rains you receive down there?

Hey Brendon… Interesting thoughts on border planting. I’m guessing the
aquaponics are now up and running?… Are you buying in fish food? @ 6:44
“We are all individuals!… I’m not!”, wrong shoulder!… I hope you were
able to patch things up with the choreographer 😉
Hey Kay.. @ 1:49 our little Rodney (2 1/2 years old) says, “I like that
girl daddy!”… 😉
Hey Jim… Good info on geo @ 8:00… Thanks
G’day Steve… Thanks for holding back on advertising, it’s nice to see (or
not as it is in this case ;)… Your hand held skills are impressive, do
you post stabilise? Is that the sound of water or wind in the background?
You’ve achieved pretty good audio considering (even @ 5:11)… Another clip
well done :-)… Chris xox
Would planting rice in the swales be a good idea? It seems like a way to
just make that space a little more efficient, and hold the bottom of it
together with roots. And who doesn’t like rice?
