hi i dont know if it helps but we have used that sort of equipment in the uk for a long time to control ferns in woodland.
Wot we have done is reduced the amount of bars on our roller to in affect make the drum not so round this makes for a harder impact as the bar hits the plant you get less crimps per foot but the ons you get are alot harder if that makes any sence
