Hi Chuck, Thank you for the info, I don’t have powdered lime, is there another substitute? I can pick it up though…Thanks by the way for the link of the apple info guy you referred me too! He is very good 🙂 Thanks again and great to hear from ya! Misilla
Hey Misilla,
Those strawberry plants look very happy in that raised bed. The yellow cabbage may have just been in shock from the PH difference in the soil. I know mine did the same thing and I know that my soil was a bit out of whack. I put a little powdered lime down and they greened right up!

I’m sorry to hear that Caleb, that happened to me last month with our peas…we had nice weather then it went to freezing temperatures again! Going back and forth with these extreme weather is no fun…It’s supposed to be hot this week and I just noticed some seedlings leave are getting scorched! I will need to shade them for the rest of the week! You can try planting again when the weather cooperates 🙂 Have a good night! Misilla
Hello! Thanks for the tip on the lemon balm, I did not know that! Yeah, some peas get very long, so I need to be more prepared this year. You can always try garlic this fall…I heard you can plant them in containers though, but they need well draining potting medium. Thank you for watching and nice compliments 🙂 Happy gardening and talk to you soon 🙂 Misilla
Hello, thanks so much for your kind compliment! I’m so glad that you & your familt are trying to grow your own vegetables! It is such a great lesson and experience for the whole family. Please keep trying, your seedlings will sprout soon! Sometimes it can take weeks to germinate depending on what you’re growing. Some veggies that do okay in cooler climates that you can try are: lettuce, spinach, kale, potatoes and sweet peas. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching & happy gardening 🙂 Misilla
Can’t live without goat cheese, okay may be I can 🙂 It is delicious though, frittata sounds perfect with all that goodness in it! Good idea with the seeds in soup, I don’t mind eating the fennel seeds as it freshens my breath too lol! I’m in zone 8a….we are going to have pretty warm weather this week in 70’s to 80’s! Thanks for watching and have a wonderful weekend Donna! Misilla
I love goat cheese. It is especially good in a frittata. I like egg, goat cheese, spinach, garlic, and mushroom frittata.
Fennel is wonderful when I feel under the weather. I add fennel seed and red pepper flakes to any soup and it cures an upset stomach and the pepper clears the sinuses.
Everything looks great! You have a great little helper!
Which zone are you/ Sorry if I already asked…hard to keep up with all the different gardens on YT.
Wow I love your garden! We are really trying to grow our own fruits n veg this year, I made my grow box this morning so thanks for the tip, we have been trying with seedlings but with no luck 🙁 I guess it’s the UK weather, so many thanks and my girls loved helping out making it 😉

Nice sunny spot for your gardending for sure. I hear lemon balm will also grow out of control too like mint so be careful. Love all your variety too. Your garlics are looking good. I put mine in buckets and they started off well but then died. So I learned I need to put them in the ground. I didn’t realized sweet peas got that long! Oops… I have some started and I need to add more fencing. Great video!
I will have to pick some up thanks Chuck!
