The flail mower makes it more difficult to plant.
Thanks for this video, we are always talking about the advantages of no-till, a simple video like this helps demanstrate the point, there is very little disruption and so the soil stays in place!!!

I see that a flail mower used prior to weed seed emergence would go a long way towards weeds prevention, avoid tillage AND avoid herbicide use.
