2) They will slither into the container to drink the fluid, and it desolves their slimey layer, and also kills them from the inside, because the fermentation process goes on inside the slug. You end up with a container full of dead slugs but they disolve in the fluid, so no problem. Just keep adding a bit of beer.

I saw someone mention slugs : thats a different problem, you have to catch them. Thats an easy process : take a small bowl or anything stabile that can hold at least 0.5 liter. You pour a bottle of beer in it, add a spoonful of sugar so the beer will start fermenting, cuz slugs looooove fermented stuff.

I also don’t want to kill the bugs, but repel them. How did your oil mixture work? Have you tried the chilly pepper mixture? Does it work? What about the lemon? Or lemon and olive oil … sounds like a salad dressing. Anyway, what works best do you think?

That’s what I use. 3 Tbsp olive oil, 3 Tbsp Organic Dish soap and 1 gallon of water. That’s it! Shake and spray!
