Hey, I just made a nest like the one with the bamboo myself. Do the bees start to permanently live there? thanks for teh video, great.
You can also just take brown heavy paper & make rolled tubes of it.Cut piece about the size of a dollar bill, 6″ long, roll it around a pencil and tape it closed.Fill coffee can or large can with tubes & put up in a sheltered place in the Spring, before the fruit trees bloom.Location:protected from rain but facing morning sun.Chicken wire is to keep woodpeckers out.
the tubes need to be about 6 inches long. I don’t use bamboo. the tubes you see are cardboard, with paper liners rolled up inside them. That way you can put clean ones out every year and just replace the paper liners.

Where did you get the cardboard from? Did you just roll some up? Also, great vid!

How deep do the bamboo sticks’ holes have to be? Also, what did you use to surround them with?
