Question by collina: My local football club could be going under! How can i help!?
My local football club Folkestone invicta fc is in dire need of financial support. They are in Ryman southern league division 1.
Apart from buying merchandise and going to games how can i help?
What’s generally the value of a club like this?
This club means a lot to a lot of people, it would be a crime to see it fail. http://www.folkestoneinvicta.co.uk/
What do you think? Answer below!
Call the club and see if some of the players could visit some local schools. Once the kids meet the players, then they ask the parents to take them to games. Have some newspaper press on hand to cover all these nice visits. Try and generate more publicity for them. Ask local talk shows to interview their players, ask local sports writers to do a piece on them…You write a piece on them and submit it to the press as a freelance journalist…

Save your money and use your energy to support a worthy cause that will help people who can not help themselves, rather than some overpaid football players.

Damm I would be miserable too if I was in your place.
The best you can do is organize a small group of people and have some sort of rallies.I just hope your club survives.

Back in the 60’s Brentford were in a similar plight QPR were after taking them over, but support grew the gate swelled by some 800, buckets were paraded round the ground and people were chucking money in them a sponsered walk,Brentford to Bighton raised cas and the Bees are still going strong.
Dont give up Folkestone you can do it
How about all the YA people go down there for their next home game a complete sell out would certainly booster funds
Who is up for it?
