Question by horselover: My friend found an egg also and is raising it it has started to hatch will it survive?
When I found my egg on the ground my friend found an egg also. it had 2 tiny holes in it and you could see through the egg and the chick looked nice and healthy in the egg. It looked like it would come out soon. She tried to make a homemade nest for it . Then she took it home and is going to try to hand raise it. Is she doing it right? What more does she need to raise it ?[note she is alerady attached to it and has named it. What should I tell her?
What do you think? Answer below!
does she know what the chick is? I think she should find out before she makes any decisions on keeping it

to keep it warm you need a strong light, food, a big box for it to grow, wood chippings to poop, water, and love
for anything else ask a vet they should kno, i had baby ducks 4 pets when i was little so this is how i kno cause they treat chicks the same
but remember it will not always be a chick one day a chicken/rooster and that theres a chance u cant handle the adult u might have to give it away
but it should survive w/ those things

you must keep it warm, and you will have to hand feed it…contact a vet or go to the pet store and buy baby bird diet. The instructions are on it. You will have to feed it many times a day. But it can be done, I have done it this way

I sent you email on how to feed the baby if it hatches. Keep the egg about 98 degree’s. Make sure you put a bowl of water in it’s container for humidity. Do call Wildlife and find out that it isn’t a potected bird.
If you can find the nest put it back in there. It’s a myth that they won’t take care of it. Birds can’t smell your touch.
