  1. I read in MAKE Magazine the heat kills CFL bulbs. Keeping a bulb pointed
down will shorten it’s life due to heat. It’s best to keep CFL bulbs
shining on side. I have never had a high powered CFL die for my plants. I
have a ceiling fan in my kitchen that has CFL bulbs pointed down and they
die every few months. I’d use a little fan if you have an expensive bulb.
You most likely have 90 days to return at these stores so HOLD THAT RECEIPT!

  19. @SleestaksRule 😀 That’s so good to know. Why is it that some t5 lights
online are so expensive? What makes one (4 bulb, 2′ T5 grow light) 150$ and
    another one 350$?

  23. @SleestaksRule I tried doing half the lumens but its only working out for
seedlings Im going to buy 2 more bulbs tonight. I’m using some ultra CLF’s
they’re a little smaller and output 1600 lumens each (23 watt). I’ll just
use 4 and get your output and hopefully a pretty harvest like yours!
