she is 9 weeks old and has a thumb size bump on her head and the dr said it would go away at about 6 months old…has any one experienced this and does it the bump go away? the strawberry mark can stay but the purplish bump under the mark looks painful and terrible.

  1. It really depends on what type of birth mark it is. Stork bites go away. If it has blood vessels that can easily bee seen, I doubt that it will go away. I had a neighbor once that had a bright raised purple birthmark down the right side of his face and torso. You need to get a second opinion.
