That’s very interesting +Michigansnowpony. I’d like to get a couple of
goats as well. I love what you’re doing, keep it up sister! :)
Keep ’em coming Renee! Tonight I brought home my 2nd goat in as many days
and this one is a mini Nubian IN MILK! Tomorrow morning will be our first
milking. Pray for me Renee, pray hard. :)
Funny that you bring this up. The lady I talked to the other day who I am
going to visit said the same thing, yes and she has alpines as well.Loving
the goat videos, makes me want one that much more
I agree with everything except…personally, I don’t milk pregnant does.
Just too much strain on their bodies. Like I said that is just my way. We
all have our own ways of doing things, not anything wrong with doing
it….just that I don’t. :)
I was quite surprised to hear about this so I posted on an FB goat group,
shocked again…People have “milked through” there goats some for as long
as 10 years!!! This needs to be made common goat knowledge.
I want to try milking straight through this year. I do know of someone that
milked her Doe for 5 years straight. I think you really have to be diligent
with your milking. This probably wouldn’t work for a lot of people because
you could never go anywhere. I may give 2 years a try tho.

What do you do with Marty when she is no longer producing? Will you keep
her as the alpha female to keep everyone in line or will you sell her off?
