I like your vids! I am curious, have you ever used lava rock? i currently
am using it in a grow bed, but find it hard on my hands. I am thinking of
doing a flood/drain bed with lava rock as a base layer (first 6 inches) and
expanded clay pebbles on top of that. Why? Cost! Plus, the lava rock is
very porous = lots of surface area. Your thoughts?
regarding grow media for starters. The major obstacle for hydroton appears
to be its expensive cost. I saw on a marijuana growers page that somebody
was bleaching red cinders and using this. Can you or any other subscribers
share their productive, analytical thoughts on this?
great vids bud! what are you using to keep things warm in your greenhouse
at this time? also, did you lose much of your crop during that xmas
blackout?
Hello JT, Wow how do you keep it warm with arctic blast you are getting?
Live in Florida have 40 gold fish, Started as feeders and now they almost
3″ long. Have about 100 gallon system two grow beds and even now able to
keep summer crops for the most part. Keep the on the south side of the
house and water with aquaponic water. Gold Fish just as well as any. I keep
mine in the ground help keeps it cool in summer and warmer in winter. Want
to change mine plumbing to something like yours when tank will not be
drained in case of OOH Crap .Thanks for the info.
Well since this is a FAQ/ Q&A video I’ve been wondering what kind of pump
you use? (brand/ flow rate and such) I’ve been going back and watching your
videos but I think I’ve over stuffed my brain with new info and can’t
remember if you did a bit about your pump. About the iron thing from
brave187 I think web4deb put a piece of rusty iron in one of his deep water
culture beds and that”s how he does his iron. Would have to go through his
videos to double check though. Might be in one of his FAQs.

My ph level is 6.4 to 6.6. The temp in my basement is 62-65. I have 25
feeder goldfish that I feed them organic flakes or close to it as I can
find. Can I feed them pellets? I have a 55gal fish tank and a 55gal cut in
half for grow beds. The grow beds are full but the plants don’t look
healthy. Also is there anything else I can feed these fish? For example
grow a couple of plants just for them. TY in advance.
Hahah, love the gold fish.. My friends thought that I was weird for fishing
for creek chubs (minnows) , which others use for fishing as bait.. I on the
other hand fish them for food..
Do you put anything in your system to help it out? Besides the legacy Koi
and Goldfish food. My system is cycled now. But I have very yellow leaves.
I have put rock dust and sea weed extract in. It helps but the leaves go
yellow. I’m trying to find your fish food around where I live but no dice.
Also I have been trying to get chelated iron. Would that fix my problem?
