It’s Twins
Last June, Sacred Circle Farm rescued a heritage herd of Saanen dairy goats from certain death. They arrived starved and very sick from neglect by the people who had taken over the life of the herd’s 102 year old owner. The herd’s recovery was nothing but miraculous. Today the ladies are plump and healthy. They roam freely in a forested pasture dappled with sunlight and browse to their heart’s content. Yesterday at 2:45 PM, twin kids were born! A boy and girl! Jasmine was great. She breezed through her labour with no complications and is a wonderful mother. The babies quickly found their legs and followed mum around the barn. They also enjoyed their first meal with gusto and fell asleep with full bellies. They settled in for a peaceful evening and awoke this morning ready to explore their new world. Mum and babies are doing well. Gramma Lunson’s legacy lives on and the herd’s 54 year old bloodlines have been preserved. It is a very satisfying feeling to have kept the words I made years ago to such an important person in my life. I wish you all enough. this is by far the clearest and cutest goat video that i have seen. hope to experience the same situation some 7 months later when our goats also give birth to angels like these. take good care of them. greetings

… Yes it was beautiful to experience and I am honoured that Jasmine allowed me to witness this wonderful event. It took real trust on her part and she even let me touch her babies without a single complaint!
