Question by Captain Refrigerant: Is this solid proof that MSNBC deliberately deceives it’s viewers?

They cropped Bush’s face out of news week cover. Whether they like him or not, they deceived their viewers.
Bonus question: Has MSNBC stooped low enough and is now a tabloid?

  3. MSNBC is government controlled, so it is no surprise they would present the Newsweek cover this way. I would look for much more censorship in all media.

  4. That’s par for the course with them. They’ve been a tabloid for years. Hence, their ratings.

  7. How is that decieving?

They didn’t lie, they simply removed a portion of the picture. It’s not like they showed video from 1 event and claimed it was another. And then did it again the next week.

  9. MSNBC has pretty much been a (crap) show since day one. They should be taken off the air and those clowns should be allowed to return to the circus.

  10. all media rely on ratings
and the “behind doors agreements” paying their wages
I’m not surprised – bonus answer, a sad state of fact is that more enlightenment comes from concerned citizens scouring the net than has ever been provided by any news source
    tabloid or otherwise

  11. Nope. Sorry but they cropped the other side too. I went to the newsweek website to see the original. Perhaps Bush was irrelevant to the discussion (I have not seen a video clip and have no idea what was being said)

This does not compare to the use of footage of a different march on washington to make the tea partiers look like a larger crowd.

  12. Hey at least it isn’t as bad as when they showed that tea party guy with a gun and didn’t show his body because they didn’t want people to know it was a black guy. That was classic.

  13. MSNBC lost its point of reference before Obama was elected. They have tooled their “news coverage” to ensure they continue to denounce the Bush administration while appearing to suffer from collective amnesia on the bigger stories that could be damaging to the current administration. It’s deceptive at the very least, with the complete loss of any modicum of journalistic integrity.

  14. Yes sir, but did we really need anymore proof than Olberman, Matthews and Maddow to realize thatMSNBC is an on air tabloid?
