Jordan’s Granola with goat’s milk just before I made it go green by adding wheatgrass powder!
Question by coley200722: Is it ok to give my baby goats milk?
I’ve just read the symptoms for colic and my baby has it for sure every symptom he is already drinking soy milk but I heard goats milk works great! Anyone tried it? Is it safe?

I used to get colic when I was a baby and my parents (who owned a dairy) heard that fresh cow’s milk was good for preventing colic. My dad tells me that after he switched me over to fresh milk I never had another bout with colic. So give the goat’s milk a try because I had heard the same thing.

GOAT’S MILK FORMULA VERSUS COMMERCIAL FORMULA FOR ALLERGIC INFANTS
Parents of babies allergic to cow’s milk and other commercial formulas often ask if it’s safe to use goat’s milk as an alternative. In theory, goat’s milk is less allergenic and more easily digestible than cow’s milk, but it should not be used as a substitute for infant formula. Like cow’s milk, it can cause intestinal irritation and anemia. If your baby under one year of age is allergic to cow’s milk-based formulas, try either a soy-based formula or a hypoallergenic formula.

Ooook.
#1: DON’T feed your baby soy milk.Recent research has shown that it is NOT good for babies and developing children. Also, babies that have an allergic reaction to cow’s milk are more likely to have an allergic reaction to soy milk.
#2:Do not feed your baby cow/goat or any other milk that is not your milk or formula until after 12 months. There is not enough nutrients for a growing baby in goat/cow milk.
If your baby is having colic, try gripe water. Also, burp before, during and after feedings.

NO! you need to give your baby iron enriched formula/breast milk up till one year. Otherwise you could have an anemic baby

Oh my god are these people serious!?!?
Yes goats milk IS SAFE! My son drinks it and he is five months old. Now for the tricky part….
you have to find some near you that has a infant formula kind of goats milk or………
make your own recipe. Goats have the same compounds as human breast milk. They even have ARA and DHA in there. However goats milk does not have as much folic acid as is needed for your baby. So what you can do is juice up something that has lots of folic acid and put it in the milk. It might look nasty but it is so much better than all of the chemicals that they put into regular formula!!!
Oh yeah they sell powder goats milk online for $ 7 its the same size as infant formula. Have fun!
