Question by aquarius2001: Is India going back to natural organic farming?
Due to the bad experience of planters with pesticides and fertilisers, they are now going back to natural farming, with the help of dung and cow urine only, and so ,getting more from land as well as quality!
Subhash palekar is now a hero in India, for having searched in Vedas, the laws of natural farming.

  1. Of course they aren’t on any large scale. The population of India is still increasing (now over 1 billion) and the area isn’t getting any larger. So it is not feasible to regress to the inefficient farming techniques of olden times. India is anxious to get to the point where it imports little food, and the trend is toward modern farming techniques using modern seeds.

  2. Only in some places. Since the cost of production is heigh and yield is less we can not go fully for natural organic farming. But it is good for health.
